Transcript: There’s all sorts of parenting books and styles. A book needs to sell, so they try to offer something new or different—and that’s okay. But the only thing that really matters is that your kids know you love them. Like, deep in their bones, they know you love them.
We can argue about breastfeeding versus not breastfeeding, co-sleeping versus not co-sleeping, attachment parenting versus sleep training. We can talk about all of that. Do you homeschool? Send them to private school? Public school? There’s plenty to discuss, but all of it pales in comparison to your children knowing that you would lay down in the street in front of a bus if it meant they would be alive and happy.
That’s the number one thing.
Number two? At some point, you will drop your baby on its head.
